anyone heard of orkut.com?
it's one of those websites kinda like yahoogroups and your contact list together... confused? :) well, let me explain... you sign up with this service (u need a gmail account or a referral, ask me) and u start building your 'friends' list, if u will. for someone who has a lot of friends in india or from india (or brazil) this is a pretty good way to find your lost (or not so lost) buddies, all the way from middle school to maybe college.
you can create your own groups, categorize your friends into various lists, send messages etc. its pretty cool... try it.

cant beileve people actually need help of a website to keep in touch with friends or know what they are doing or where they are. Arent friends suppose to mean that u know what they are doing and where they are and stuff like that.

not everyone does that... especially not those who are in their 40s or older, cos emailing was not as common as it is now when they were out of college. also, you keep in touch with your close friends from high school, college etc. but u kinda seem to forget those which were not so close... i think orkut and similar websites are trying to work on that issue.

tulan you have a wrong impression about all this sites...
they are suppose to do what we do in blogging....its like a personal online diary.....
I had the same feeling about this type of sites but now i think its better than blogging ...
again the only thing that is wrong right now is my work place is blocking it...

exactly nothing is better than blogging. Well why do u wanna keep in touch with someone who is not close to you. u know what i mean that means they are not your friends. other wise they would be close to you
went to that facebook whatever site. so stupid though havent anything since it just looked stupid though it might be interesting when i see after registering but definetly not better than blogging

I have heard a lot of good things about facebook. I just don't have time to keep up with it. Plus I am not sure if I want people that I went to school with to contact me. I'm glad to finally be away from some of those people. No need to bring them back in my life.
